Here is a selection of Ben's presentations

“Making Lemonade with God”

A humorous twist on the saying, “When life throws you lemons, make lemonade.”  Take a look (and taste) at the three ingredients used to make old fashion lemonade and how this illustration will challenge you to take on life’s problems (lemons) by depending on Jesus Christ and getting a little help from friends.

 

“Peter doesn’t get it”

A multi-lesson (3-5), that looks at the man known as Simon Peter and his relationship with Jesus Christ.  See how any person, no matter what their past, what they think of themselves, and mainly no matter how many times they have stumbled as a Christian, God can still use them in a powerful way.
-The Call,Looks at Jesus calling Peter, and the other disciples, to come and follow him, while challenging youth to take the first step in following Christ and answering the call in their life.  A message filled with fun and laughter, great to start off a retreat.

-Peter Doesn’t Get It, Looks at some of the many accounts, in Peters life where he thinks he understands the bigger picture that God has, but doesn’t see it all.  Look at the washing of the disciples’ feet, events during the final hours, and others.  Showing youth that no matter how small they think they are, or no matter how many times they have messed up, God still has a plan for their life.  (Can take two lesson times, or be absorbed into The Call and Walking on Water with Jesus.)

-Walking on Water with Jesus, The challenge laid out to be the one in twelve disciples who will have the courage to climb out of the safety of the boat and walk the unknown with Jesus.

-Peter Finally Gets It, John 21 and the famous “Do you love me feed my sheep,” Peter finally understands what Jesus was sent to this earth for and what his purpose in the ministry is

 

“Color and Light”

Pulled from his experiences in architecture and the use of lighting and color, examine the true colors of who you are, and the light that you are reflection to the world.  See how lighting is used to effect colors in buildings and art and how the same happens in you life.

 

“Life in ministry without being a minister”

How you can use your talents and answer the call to a lifetime of service in God’s ministry without taking the traditional route of becoming a pastor, minister, or missionary.  Become aware of the concept of doing all that God intends with your life.  A message close to Ben’s heart, as he shares his experiences and gifts serving the Lord in architecture and speaking.
